A rejuvenated shopping centre
A centre developed around the Carrefour Rigourdière shopping centre, where the aim of redevelopment is to radically rejuvenate the site. Incorporated into the project is an extension to the centre (4,000 m2 of retail space/6,000 m2 of GLA) that will make it possible to broaden the offer in terms of shops and food and drink and have one or two new medium-sized spaces. A retail offer is developing in the continuing use of the site, which presents about 40 commercial, food and drink and service establishments, 28 of which are national brands.
Certified as an eco-city in 2009, the Via Silva urban project will increase the density of the catchment areas for the Rigourdière centre: its two initial operational phases will eventually represent 875,000 m2 and will accompany the opening of metro line B and the future Cesson Via Silva station. By 2026, there will be 3,200 residents and 3,500 new jobs.
